Not every piece of art you make has to be a masterpiece. I think one of the leading causes of “Artist’s Block” is the idea that you have to create a beautiful piece of art every time you put pencil to the page. This is not the case. In fact 90% of the time you’re drawing, it should be practice. Practicing hands or faces. Practicing cars or trees. Or practicing a future finished piece of art. If you look at my sketchbook you will find a scribbling mess that only makes sense to me. It’s far from a
masterpiece, but that’s the way it should be.
