Celebrating Student Achievement • The Musical Ladder System®
Canton Arts Academy the only music school in North Georgia that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. This patent pending system and is being used by schools nationwide.
Do other schools offer trophies and certificates?
A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder System®” wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins! Ask your teacher about the Musical Ladder System today!
Many people quickly become discouraged when their first attempt at drawing doesn’t go as well as they wanted. This surprises me, because nothing else in life works like this. Who walked on their first attempt? Who was born speaking perfectly? Who could read upon picking up their first book? Why would drawing be any different? If your drawing didn’t come out the way you wanted the first time, try again, then again, then again. If you practice enough you’ll become fantastic!

How Long Have You Taken Music Lessons?
It’s been just over a year since I started percussion lessons with Jonathan.
What instrument(s) do you play?
I’m a percussionist, so I play several instruments. For marching band I play snare, bass, and xylophone. For fun at home though, I play on both acoustic and electronic drum kits.
Who are your favorite musical artists?
I don’t really have a favorite musical artist, but I like playing along to Iron Maiden, Genesis, Coldplay, and Blue Man Group.
What are your short and long term goals with music?
Performing in the marching band is actually both a short and long term goal. I just finished summer band camp for Cherokee HS and am really looking forward to being in the band my freshman year. I plan to stay in the band all 4 years of high school and continue on at college. I’m also hoping to form a prosperous band later on in life.
What is your favorite part about taking music lessons?
I like building up my repertoire of songs and learning new skills.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy drawing, playing video games, woodworking, and playing music.
What are some of your favorite foods?
It may not qualify as food, but I love soda and cherry slushies.
What is the coolest thing you’ve learned in
your lessons recently?
Jonathan helped me with a hard drum fill in the Iron Maiden song I’m working on, Where Eagles Dare.
Please tell us anything else you’d like us to know about you!
I’m proud to be part of the Cherokee Band of Warriors.
