TEACHER TIPS
Mrs. Ann teaches piano and voice Mondays’ and Wednesday’s She has few slot available after school. When you come across a difficult section in your song, mark it in your music and go back to just those specific measures during a practice. Many students want to go back to the beginning of the song and start over, but that will not fix the ‘problem area’. Repetition of small sections is the key to making your song seamless!
Ms. Sarah teaches on Fridays Only. Spots are limited. She teaches all ages piano, guitar, voice, and ukulele. Ms. Sarah Says “We all learn in different ways and sometimes the traditional approach isn’t the answer. Music is an art, so let’s get creative!
Mr. Jeff teaches guitar. Tip of the week, “Is there a certain part of song or exercise that is still tripping you up? Take that part and play it over slow, until your fingers are are getting familiar with the movements. And when you are starting to play it confidently, set a goal of trying to play. 5 or 10 times in a row without messing up~

DRAWING TIPS ….
NEVER RIP PAGES OUT OF YOUR SKETCH BOOK!!! I cannot stress this enough. Do not throw out your drawings.
I don’t care how much you hate your drawing.
I don’t care how “stupid” or “terrible” you think the drawing is, you have to keep it.
Why?
Because, even if the drawing is bad, the idea can be terrific. I can’t tell you how many great comic book ideas I’ve gotten by looking at very old (and bad) sketches. If I threw out the sketches I thought were terrible I would of lost that great idea. So keep your sketches, your future self will thank you!
